Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026. This policy explains how Brain Engine Tech LLC ("we"), operating ParcelRecoup, handles information.
What we collect
- Estimate form: email, store/website, parcel volume range, shipping spend range, carriers used, optional notes, and the page you came from (including campaign tags such as utm_source).
- Account type: whether you ship on your own carrier account or through a label platform.
- If you upload invoices or sign up for claims: carrier invoice files you upload (stored privately), the carrier and approximate invoice total you enter, shipment data (tracking numbers, service levels, dates, addresses on shipments, charges), and your signed authorization.
- Technical data: cookie-free, aggregate page analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). We store a one-way hash of your IP address with form submissions and uploads to limit spam. When you sign the claim authorization, we record your IP address, browser user agent, the time and the exact authorization text as evidence of the signature.
- Security check: forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots.
How we use it
- To prepare your estimate and contact you about it.
- To prepare your audit, to file eligible billing disputes and claims in your name through your carrier account, and to bill our fee on amounts recovered.
- To prevent abuse and improve the service.
Sharing
We don't sell personal information. We share shipment data with the relevant carrier only to file your claims, and with service providers that host or process data for us (for example Cloudflare for hosting, and our payment processor for billing) under confidentiality obligations. Claims-review contractors may access shipment data under a confidentiality agreement and only for your claims.
Retention & deletion
Estimate-form data is kept for up to 12 months unless you become a customer. Customer data is kept while you use the service and for a limited period after, or as required by law. To access, correct or delete your data, reply to any email from us (a contact form is coming soon).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit; access is limited to people who need it. No method is 100% secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have rights to know, access, delete, or correct information and to opt out of certain processing. Reply to any email from us to exercise them (contact form coming soon).
